The Fisher Bridge Model Project is progressing along quite well. I want to thank you both for your help in launching this project. Here are some photos of the model Fisher Bridge in progress. Remember that this bridge is for an HO model layout and the bridge is longer than the required scale in order to fill the layout span. Photos showing floor beams, and top bracing, notice the close grain on the ends. This wood, comes from a home restoration last year, and may be older than the original bridge. This was chosen to closer scale the wood to the project. I will use this wood also for the roof shingles.

[The Fisher Railroad Covered Bridge, WGN 45-08-12, spans the Lamoille River near Hardwick, Vt. just off Vt. route 15. The 98-foot bridge was built in 1908 by the Pratt Construction Company using the Town-Pratt Truss, a doubled Town Truss. - Ed.]
